QUESTION: Where has Old Woman of abroadermark GONE??
CLUE 1: She went to NYC with her special la-dee-da choir to sing at Carnegie Hall no less.
CLUE 2: On June 9 I recieved a very cool postcard from NEW YORK CITY! With a cute witty message on the back–I carefully placed said card in a safe place to photo and post here. Aforementioned safe place remains a mystery though.
CLUE 3: On June 11 there was a mysterious post on her blog saying she was back and very tired.
QUESTIONS:
Did she indeed post that or is this a cover-up of some sort?
IS OW really at home or still in NYC or lost in an airport wandering in circles?
Was that post a cover-up because she fell of the wagon while in that sinful big city and is now so busy drinking COKE like a fish polar bear that she cannot face us???
Or WORSE–does she like THEM better’n us now??
I wish I could find that card and dust it for prints or check it for trace evidence…I mean really…my twin has not come over to play in AGES!! Have you guys seen her??
Ome back ABM-we miss you and love you and welcome you back with open arms (even if you are hopped up on deliceous sirupy caffienated bevrages)

Yea I’ve been missing her also. I know Tami misses her, you and OW are Tamis comic relief while stationed in no mans land. Hey they were going to have get together Tami and OW! Come to think of it my sister has been phone MIA for days (this is VERY unusual for her). May be they have found each other and are off playing somewhere over the rainbow. I will investigate from this end and let you know what I find.

So, the claim that she was back may have been a red herring? Brilliant thinking, Dandelionmom. Perhaps she is starring off-Broadway and drinking Coke! I am at this moment, well just a moment ago, reading a detective novel so perhaps my senses are more keenly aware than yours, but I think I was recalling that there was a Shoe wedding this summer? I was personally deciding that OW had suddenly recalled that little fact after all her fun in NYC and was doing wedding overdrive. I have had no Oklahoma readers checking my blog although my Statcounter is abysmal.
Were my car not trapped in the garage due to a broken spring I might have to jump in said car and drive down to OK (taking a couple of days there and a couple of days back, my hubby would love that) and force that Old Woman to get back on the blog or force her into rehab from her Coke addiction. Alas, I am trapped here in the Lou. I know if we apply our reasoning powers we can solve this mystery. What happened to Old Woman?

NYC can be pretty over-stimulating. I lived there and know! She probably will need a couple of weeks to assimilate some newly-acquired neuroses and maybe even more time to let the purple hair-dye fade out…

whew! catastrophe averted! she’s back and home and perhaps a little jaded-going scarlet and all–nice pics over there–she never did say that she liked them more than us -she did look pretty happy–but would THEY have convened an emergency detective confernce? I think NOT! Shoe residents being the exception-I think WE missed her most. Stand down all–things are looking good now!
Thanks again for all coming out so quickly-disaster averted–I didn’t see any Coke either did you?

Okay, I have a confession to make.
I did lightly tumble off the wagon while visiting the big sinful city. I was tired and I REALLY needed some caffeine, okay?!
I haven’t had Coke since I’ve been home but I can’t seem to go a day without a nice glass of sweet iced tea. I’m also just barely hanging on to the healthy eating wagon. Like I’m tangled up in some rope or something and being pulled behind it – that kind of barely. Oh, I’m SOO ashamed. And, just so you know, I’m only able to admit these things because of that welcoming me with open arms thing you said, Dandelionmom. I sure do hope you meant it.

OK People-Ms Marple took a few hours out to take her son to the hand surgeon but found the clue in her comments awaiting approval as soon as she returned! She did not even pull out her knitting first-promise adn repentances in sackcloth in ashes K?
In complete disclosure friend-I had THREE LARGE FOUNTAIN COKES yesterday and the day before in my ER trip and subsequent drives to St Cloud for rolling-rock-on-thumb-boy. I needed them and they were there for me. Healthy eating? Just be sure yu keep your strength up for blogging!!

Seriously, is your boy okay? I’ve heard thumbs are very important things for a human being to have. Is your poor male child’s digitus primus salvageable?

He’ll be fine in 4 weeks or so-Linden was making steppng stones across a drainage ditch with large rocks–the tip of the bone broke off ad the skin split open top to base all the way to the bone-they sent us 2 hours away to be stitced and then back the next day for a check with the hand guy who said no nerve or tendon damage
Does taking him to the space aliens restraunt count as punishment? I MADE him drink his whole choc/cherry smoothie!

Yikes, hand surgeon. Keep those boy children in cotton wool and tied to a chair for the summer to avoid such Coke drinking disasters not to mention ER visits. I would hate to have to tell people that all my bloggy friends are a bunch of Coke addicts. And making your child drink such unhealthy drinks when he was obviously begging for water or milk.

Second, and more importantly I will pray for a speedy recovery for your boy. Scary!, and what a bummer to have your hand in a cast healing during the summer. I’m so glad it wasn’t worse.
