My baby Laurel is officailly a licenced driver!! She passed her behind-the-wheel test yesterday and today took her first solo> (you know..first legal on-the-highway solo–farm kids do plenty driving before that
)
Do you see that little decal on her truck??
It sez Supersis ’cause she is! SEE??

I am equally proud of THIS accomplishment as well…
her very first knitted sock!!!

I just needed a moment to say…”THATS ma girl!”

You go girl!! But go safely!!! Love the socks, I really need to get back on the learning to knit thing.
And a chick note–once we are finished with graduation stuff around here I’m going to bug a citycouncil member about chickens.

Oh, new drivers, be careful, there are little old ladies out there. Pass them carefully!
Cool socks. I could never knit like that, too much counting. And then, who wears socks that warm here in St. Louie? Them’s northern stockings.

Oh, Laurel, what a cute truck!
You’re amazing – a license and a feat of knitting prowess!!! I had children before I was brave enough (read that as desperate enough) to get my license, and I still am not knitting proficient! Great work!
Dandelionmom, did you weep just a little? My big girl is working a day a week now, and that is enough to make me wonder what happened to my baby?!

Oh, how exciting. Yes, our babies make us so proud. Not because it is boastful (well, maybe I am sometimes), but because we see what beautiful people they are. It is so exciting to watch it unfold, and wonder where their lives will take them.

Congrats! You are a cool mom, I didn’t get a decal on the car when I started driving!
I’m still trying to knit my first pair of socks. They’re going to have to be for someone with really thick legs. Sigh…

Man, if you weren’t my cyber-sis I’d ask you to adopt me. I’m SERIOUS! I could really use a nice ride like Laurel’s! Oooh…and you could teach me to knit too. And sew. And how to go with the flow, which I’m actually not too bad at but a few pointers sure couldn’t hurt. Can I call you Mommy? Just once? I wanna see what it feels like!
